Things I think about... and I wonder why I can't sleep?!?!
This site was started when Silas was born on 04-10-06. He had complications and was placed on ECMO, a heart/lung bypass machine. He spent his first 7 weeks at Legacy Emanuel NICU in Portland, OR fighting for his life. This is his story of survival and the continuing saga of the Kyne's as told through the eyes of Mom and Grammy. I came across your page and i was wondering if i could ask you some questions. Recently our baby has been diagnosed with CDH. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant. We found out when i was 31 weeks pregnant. We are from Idaho and have just recently temporarily moved to Portland, 400 miles from home so that we had ECMO as an option if our daughter needed it. This was the closest place. I am sort of curious as to what your thoughts are about the hospital(legacy emmanuel) and perhaps maybe even some advise. I would really appreciate it if you were able to respond- if not i understand. My email address is kristenannawilson@yahoo.com.
