12-08-07 When it rains…you get MRSA

We are now dealing with chicken pox again… Both Jerusha and Silas started breaking out on Wednesday and are just miserable this weekend. They are not my worry, however. My nephew, (brother Caleb’s youngest) is extremely ill with the pox. Unlike my kids and his siblings, Luke has a compromised immune system and woke this morning with a pox bigger than a fifty cent piece and a nasty red line running from it toward the middle of his chest. When his mommy took him to the doctor, they told her they suspect MRSA, a nasty medication resistant staph infection. Please pray that he gets well as quickly as possible and that there will be no lasting side effects from any of this. Also, that everyone else in the house will be protected from this MRSA bug.
