This site was started when Silas was born on 04-10-06. He had complications and was placed on ECMO, a heart/lung bypass machine. He spent his first 7 weeks at Legacy Emanuel NICU in Portland, OR fighting for his life. This is his story of survival and the continuing saga of the Kyne's as told through the eyes of Mom and Grammy. So far the scan on Silas' brain has shown no sign of seizure activity. After the new year we go in for an EKG and bloodwork, then we should know for sure. Here's keeping fingers crossed and prayers going!
