This site was started when Silas was born on 04-10-06. He had complications and was placed on ECMO, a heart/lung bypass machine. He spent his first 7 weeks at Legacy Emanuel NICU in Portland, OR fighting for his life. This is his story of survival and the continuing saga of the Kyne's as told through the eyes of Mom and Grammy. Today is the one year anniversary of the death of Joshua, Becky's son. Miraculously, after nearly 6 months in the NICU, he got to spend a few months at home in the loving care of his mommy before he left us all behind. You will always be remembered, Little Man, and thank-you for the memories of that fabulous smile.
